Global Flavors is a unique food competition supporting local businesses and seeking Aurora's best globally inspired food. From May 1 to 24, the public is invited to visit participating businesses, purchase and taste the featured items that showcase a world of flavors and vote for their favorites. More information on participating items and locations, which were determined as part of a nomination process last month, is available at AuroraGov.org/GlobalFlavors.

The winners will be announced at Global Fest, the city's most popular cultural event, taking place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 14, on the Great Lawn of the Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway. For more information, visit AuroraGlobalFest.org.

Celebrating its 12th year, Global Fest is an annual celebration organized by the city of Aurora that engages and infuses culture and community. Including an array of art, music, dance and fashion, this festival is a unique opportunity to experience "The World in a City."

While Global Fest also features the international cuisines of select local establishments, no single event can wholly capture the broad diversity of Aurora's food scene. Global Flavors expands upon the offerings at Global Fest to showcase more great restaurants from across the city.
